MY COMMUNITY SERVICE
I am a firm believer in the mantra “To Whom much is given, much is expected.” I am a volunteer attorney at my church legal clinic. Every month I provide free legal advice and representation to people who may not otherwise be able to afford a lawyer. Based on my work in the legal clinic, I am a three time recipient of the Distinguished Service Award from the Chicago Volunteer Legal Services.
I have also used my skills as a mediator to serve my community. In 2010, I helped to create a volunteer mediation services in the Parentage Division of the Cook County Domestic Relations Court in Chicago. Within this program I assisted unmarried parents with reaching agreements concerning their children. Based on this work and after providing volunteer mediation on a weekly basis, I was honored to receive a Certificate of Appreciation from the Presiding Judge of Domestic Relations.
MY PERSONAL STYLE
I am a staunch advocate for my clients. I represent my client’s by assisting them in reaching their goals, to the fullest extent of the law, after discussing the various options which are available to them. My approach is to reach a resolution in my clients' case in a cost effective way. No matter what the outcome or the potential outcome of a persons’ situation it is important to me that my clients feel respect and dignity within themselves. It is also important that my clients have a strong sense of trust in me as their lawyer. I have found that with this approach I can be compassionate with my clients and yet continue to provide them with professional and dedicated services.
